Early 1900's Antique German/Bavarian 4/4 Violin

This is a wonderful estate find.  When dug up in the attic, it was in solid condition, but I was in the dark as to age and background.  I took this to one of Southern California's most respected violin makers near the Claremont Colleges for some information and to get this back to playing condition.

After approximately $350 of refurbishing, and a new case, this violin and bow were brought back to life.  It plays beautifully and looks great.  The information I received was that this is a quality violin with corner blocks, and was made in the late 19th or early 20th century for mass appeal.  This comes from southern Germany region, probably Bavaria, (bow is not a match and is a bit shorter than a standard full-size bow).  In addition, they categorized this violin as a 4/4, but it is slightly smaller than a 4/4, but it is NOT a 3/4.

The violin shop determined that the violin's current value is approximately $2000.

Again, this has been completely refurbished with new strings, saddle, tailpiece, soundpost and restringing of bow.

Violin, bow, and new padded case (tags still attached).

Condition:  Amp rebuilt and has a deep, mellow sound.  Cosmetically good.  It does need some adjusting as well as some electronic tweeking (the selection buttons do not trip the record selection).  But it does work and all major restoration has been done.
